Was the egg stored at room temperature, or in the 'fridge before cooking ?

Both.

The eggs were bought in the local supermarket. The packaging indicated that they had been laid in a supposedly organic farm. But there's no Soil Association in Poland to police organic standards.

On returning home the eggs were put in the fridge. Twenty four hours before carrying out the pilot experiment the eggs were removed from the fridge.

When we start proper testing we will use fresh eggs bought from peasant farmers in the local market and measure the ambient temperature. A proportion of the eggs will be used to produce egg nog. The test subjects will receive this in various doses and the effects will be studied carefully.

Does anyone know if EU grants are available to support this important research?
