A word of warning for next week, Joe - don't try to go up past Blandford to Tarrant Hinton, otherwise you will run into an even worse traffic jam for the Great Dorset Steam Fair open between the 30th August and 3rd September. Even before that you may get delayed by traction engines and steam rollers on the road.
But well worth visiting to see how some farming problems in AR's day would have been handled by at the end steam power. After that internal combustion took over on our farms.
However a glance into a long gone way of life as with the scenes depicted in AR's books.
