PRUE I never read Peter Duck as a child because as soon as I knew it wasn't set on the Lakes or with the Swallows, Amazons or D's as prime movers, I lost interest.
I never read PD as a child because I didn't want to read a 'made up' book. After reading Missee Lee I felt cheated because it was obviously 'made up', but there were no signposts to this in any of the other books.
ADAM I really enjoy the first few chapters of the voyage down Channel.
