In which case, Prue, I congratulate you - you have actually 'put your pen where your mouth is'. My good wishes are genuine - I once had a writing tutor who regarded any piece of writing, of any standard, as a personal creative triumph, and this was a terrific encouragement to us all. I hasten to add (in the current hyper-sensitive Tarboard ambience) that I am not implying that your standard is anything other than high. Keep at it. And don't despair of publication - the AR Lit Execs have this year allowed publication of a 'S&A' story written by a 14-year old, so maybe they will relent one day and allow an adult effort.
John N - 'someone ought to write about the Dixons' - who someone? Why not you? In fact, here is a new Tarboard rule for Jock's consideration - anyone who in a post advocates an AR sequel is honour-bound to start to write one him/herself. [Hope this isn't too high-brow].
