Further to Owen's comments - what has happened to sport? It's all muddled up.
Spring Term was Athletics. Summer Term was Cricket and Swimming. Autumn Term was Rugby which could spread into early Spring before half-term. And, indeed, involved playing other Schools - with which we also competed in the other sports.
Soccer in the Summer? What? Back to the old rules!!! Joe
