There's no short cut that I know of. The archived posts are very interesting in themselves and include posts by Brigit Sanders, the model for the Ship's Baby, and the first president of TARS.

I used to provide a search utility for the old posts - this was removed for a couple of main reasons

i) ten years worth of posts is quite a large lump of stuff to store and to search
ii) hassle of altering all the old posts to stop it being possible to reply to them - as the threads they were from no longer existed such replies drop down the back of the settee and languish along with fluffy sherbert lemons and bun pennies.

Increased web server space and the option of letting Google in to do the search and indexing may see a full archive search option return.

You could try appealing to Ian E-N, our webfooted webmaster, who has been known to be very helpful.

at least twice this century - several times last.
