My son's forner high school still takes the pupils mountain biking, snow-boarding, rock-climbing. skiing and white-water rafting. The only concession to parental concern was the purchase of a bicycle helmet. The rafting company supplied the life-jacket. As far as I know, no one has ever been killed, drowned or injured on these terrific outings. It seems to me that as long as they take reasonable precautions there is no reason why the young people of today shouldn't enjoy the so-called "dangerous" sports.
