Re the D&G’s bicycles: In BS Bill has a bicycle which Joe uses (he also uses Dick’s cycle). Like the cycles of Tom, Dick & Dot it has Dunlop tyres. As do those of Mr Tedder, G.O. & the parson (Chapter 14, 25; pages 193, 319).
But in CC Chapter 12 the cycle Joe rides is referred to several times as his own bicycle (pages 117, 136, 137, 142).
