Dot does show fear in both WH, on the way to the North Pole, and in PM, where she feels that they should continue to hide out in the Dog's House, rather than get Scarab and go sailing.
Peggy's fears seem more concrete- thunder, being alone in the dark, where Dot's are more about what could happenn- her writer's imagination coming into play.
