At the Portsmouth Festival of the Sea last August (the one that "Nancy Blackett" was at), some dance groups did demonstration hornpipes. The ARC members present took careful notes, with a view to trying it when they got home to Japan. So that version may become the definitive "Captain Flint" steps.
