I grew up in the USA on Baskin Robbins- 31 flavors, although due to a dairy allergy, I was unable to try many of them, including vanilla.
When I read GOOD OMENS, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, I was amused by the child protagonist that doesn't believe that there are 31 flavors in the world. (Well, there's vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, then vanilla/chocolate, etc, etc)
