I had never thought about this before (thanks to everyone for bringing it up!), but there's a refreshing lack of church and religion in the S&A books. Even in times of dire crisis, nobody says prayers or calls upon their God for help. SW just wouldn't be the same if Titty, Roger and Bridget had fallen to their knees and prayed for deliverance when they were stranded in the middle of the Red Sea!

However, the children were obviously educated in religious matters (well, Christian matters) - they knew about the Egyptians and the Red Sea for a start!
