I saw a paperback copy of "Coots in the North" in my local Waterstones (large bookshop chain in the UK) last week, so I guess it must actually be available at the moment (although they do sometimes have a 'random' section that contains books that look as if they might be out of print/not generally available, so maybe it was one of those?).
