I just bought, at the local junk store, a watercolor painting - it could very well be a print - titled the Old Acle Bridge, by S. Stannard. It shows a wherry, which must be Sir Garnet, with mast lowered just ready to go under one of the three spans. As well, it shows a smaller boat with a wooden cabin complete with chimney which must be the Death and Glory. And, on the bridge are two people, either fishing, or perhaps looking for the Margoletta.

I wonder if S. Stannard knew Arthur Ransome?
