Rob, you must be referring to the ubiqitous baseball cap. Anyone visiting a European country can always spot the American tourist by his baseball cap and baggy shorts. Do fashion designers go out of their way to make the human figure look as unattractive as possible? I have disliked shorts ever since I came to Canada as a boy and wore my grey flannel shorts to school. Memory draws a curtain over what ensued. . .
By the way, Peter, you can have your tin hat back. No hail of buckshot seems to have descended on me since I wrote my comments on the rich and poor. I thought they would have stirred up a few people. Maybe everyone thought my remarks were totally irrelevant and hence not worthy of a reply.
