The real Greenland is across an entire continent from the real Alaska--so if "Greenland" was the wild fells on the Holly Howe side of the lake, could "Alaska" be near the north end of the lake, and up in the hills? On Mike Fields' map of "The Lake" (available through TARS Society Stall), the only marking in that area is "mountains". Alaska has tons of mountains. And it's near the NP but not close enough to give it away too early. It is farther away from the farms than Greenland--perhaps Peggy knew that when she chose!
