I am always amazed how people read items in different ways.
Possible why lawyers spend so much time trying to remove ambiguity from documents.

One of the glories of English is its flexibility. But I think it's also one of the least precise languages out there, compared to say French, German or Russian. I guess it's swings and roundabouts; you gain on poetry, lose on lawyer's fees.
