If you live that close to LHR you should, over time, collect enough pieces to build yourself your own plane.
I have a neighbour who one day found a significantly large piece of undercarriage in Richmond Park- large enough to be recognised as such- and on another occasion, a piece of fairing. But that's it. When bits fall down, they make it into the local press, but having lived in this district for 40 years it seems to me to be a pretty unusual thing to happen. Probably our best defence is that we and our dwellings are small, and the world is big.
