I am pretty sure that Cook's grog, as opposed to ginger beer grog, was simply lemon juice, sugar and water in the correct proportions. I can't tell you what they are! Nowadays I can buy frozen lemonade concentrate (in Toronto) which also contains a few other ingredients of slightly less natural sounding names.
