I had a look at the Wikipedia article on AR. To my untutored eye, it isn't half bad.
I'm a Wikipedia fan, and I agree that their AR entry is quite good, but I think that it would be an interesting and worthwhile exercise for us to try to construct the 'definitive' short bio. If we come up with something that's really good, I suspect that bits of it will end up on Wikipedia as well.
