Also for Jock and others, there was, before 1923, a Scottish railway company called the North British Railway. It's engines were painted in a smart mid brown livery.

IIRC that there was also a newspaper called the North Britain.

It is amazing how much space is taken trying to define the indefinable. It is more like a EU mis-Directive.
Perhaps we should all accept the slightly misquoted sentiment of Alice's White Rabbit - that it means precisely what I want it to mean!
