Okay, John--what's your advice for this purpose? I think it is okay to scan and print for a display as long as you credit the source. Especially as this picture has been out in public for a long time now. Would a simpler crediting work, such as:
"Arthur Ransome; picture reprinted from back cover of_______, (publisher & date)"
Obviously, I am not a photographer....
