I have read about Eric Newby's voyage in the Moshulu in his book a traveller's life which contains an extract from the Last Grain Race. The book contains several photos from that voyage. It is a section of the book I have reread several times and enjoyed immensely. Little did I know there would be the connection between it and AR. I will have to see about getting a copy of the last grain race one of these days.
