Again, your notes noted Jock. Thanks.

"Mike, get someone who has the 1930's Ordnance Survey 1 inch series maps to scan the relevant bits for you" Are you by any hopeful chance offering to volunteer for this, Jock?

Much of what you suggest, although no doubt useful, is unfortunately a little difficult from 10,000 miles away. I have however picked up the matters of Ranworth vs Malthouse, Salhouse vs Stalham, and the lifting bridge at St Olaves (which is really irrelevant in terms of the map.) Also the fact that the railway bridge across Breydon has now been demolished and replaced with a road bridge, that Acle road bridge has been replaced, and so on.

Thanks for the link to the early plan of Yarmouth. These early plans make for interesting study, don't they? Thanks to Owen, I've managed to find a good 1939 map here, which I've been using, and which is probably even more appropriate to AR's stories in chronological terms.

Anyway, bit by bit I'm pulling it all together. Comments like yours from a variety of TarBoarders have been very helpful, and I think you'll find the final effort not too bad.
