Before each line reported by the FIND, I have added an
explanation as to what is going on when someone felt it
proper to use the word, "Kid."

I have "fleshed out" the area of text using this keyword.

Hope this helps to identify those usages.

Ralph and Owdon had just been pounding on the door of
the Death And Glory trying to track down the camera
that took the incrimating photo. As they went away
on their way to tell Tedder, they were trying to agree
as to what that boy's name was so they can get their
stories straight before talking to Tedder.

---------- BSCH29.TXT
"Never mind him," he heard the other boy say. "Now
you listen to me. What's the name of that kid? We've both
got to say we saw the same one."

Port and Starboard were on board the barge looking
for the Teasel. They saw a man digging in his garden,
so Mr. Whittle shouted to him to see if maybe he had
seen the Teasel. His description of the boat they
were looking for was that there were "lot o' kids
aboard."

---------- CCCH21.TXT
Mr. Whittle shouted out to a man in a blue jersey and
sea-boots who was digging in a potato patch just where the
New Cut joins the Waveney River.
"Say, mate, you seen a little white yacht, wiv a white
tender to 'er? Lot o' kids aboard."

Tom had just gotten off the phone talking with Bill,
telling him of his plan to get to Acle tomorrow and
for the D&G's to meet him there. He told Port and
Starboard of his instructions to Bill, referring to
the three D&G crewmen as "three kids".

---------- CCCH24.TXT
"They've fixed up their awning for the Death and Glory,"
said Tom. "Those three kids are going down to Acle, and
someone's going to let them know when the Hullabaloos are
going to leave Wroxham."

Tom had ridden in on the train where he had met Dick
and Dorothea. Later, having pushed off the Margoletta,
he spoke with Port and Starboard about his escape by
using the Teasel where those two kids were he had met
on the train.

---------- CCCH7.TXT
"I got mixed up with another lot," said Tom. "I forgot to
tell you about a couple of kids I met in the train. Well, they're
in the Teasel, you know, where that pug's usually hanging
about, and there's an old lady in the Teasel with them..."

Tom was taking Port and Starboard down to the Teasel
for them to meet those new friends there, but observed
that these two young people, Dick and Dorothea, are
not sailors.

---------- CCCH9.TXT
"She's a jolly fine boat," said Starboard. "It's a pity those
kids can't sail."

Missee Lee is setting up the Latin class, identifying
the relative Latin skills of her students, indicating
that Susan, Peggy, and Nancy were at the bottom of the
class, as apparently they did not know any Latin.
Captain Flint was in sympathy for those at the bottom
as he called them "poor kids."

---------- MLCH16.TXT
Miss Lee was looking round the table. "Now Loger," she said, "is
velly good, John not so good. Titty is tlying hard. Su-san, Peggee and
Nansee know no Latin at all. They begin at the beginning."
"Poor kids," said Captain Flint.

As Titty was anchored out in the lake in the Amazon,
she heard the sound of a native boat feeling its was
across the lake, looking for the little island. The
only light they had for reference was the Lighthouse
on Wild Cat Island. These native burglars apparently
were aware that those kids camping on Wild Cat had
hung up that lantern which they could see. As a point
of positional reference, the Lighthouse was still
not enough info as they would up crashing into
Cormorant Island anyway.

---------- SACH20.TXT
"We must be near it now." A man's voice, loud in the wind,
came to her out of the darkness.
"Not yet. Look at the light those kids have got on the other
island. It must be another hundred yards at least."
