I wonder if these are the recordings referred to by Peter Roche in an e-mail that he sent me this morning.
About 1995, on behalf of the Society [TARS], I acquired from the BBC a about 12 recordings made by AR for the BBC between 1948 and 1952.
They were very popular and I set up a lending system.
When I left the Society these were deposited with Ted Alexander.
I've never heard of them being lent-out since...
