Certainly agree. I would consider that the Blacketts are not poor in the sense of real poverty in the 30's, but neither do they frequent the country parties in great houses. With what AR has written I'd put them as upper middle class - moneyed(in a minor way hence the battered car and the few, not particularly fancy servants) through inheritance but with no pretentions to nobility. The GA is full of pretentions, but there is certainly no real evidence to back her up.
