Excellent stuff Peter! I do wonder if the 'Master' 'Miss' is not given to the Swallows and the Ds because they are outsiders (visitors), having lived in a tourist area for many years (as the Lakes where even in AR's time) you do get fed up with them no matter how well behaved and caring of their surroundings. Whereas Nancy and Peggy are locals, as you well illustrate with the buying of the blow pipe incident!
