This has been mentioned in the past as a candidate for the Peak in Darien. Possibly not enough scots pine trees but flora changes over the years.
AR did annotate a postcard to Clifford Webb of Friars Crag in Derwentwater to show what he had in mind for the early SA illustrations. But it does not means that he used the same location for his own illustrations.
