I've seen this too and agree that it looks quite persuasive; although Dick would never have found it in the whiteout as it a long way back from the shore. I think some (other) Clever Dick exploded my theory by claiming that this summer(winter?) house had been built in the 20s or 30s and therefore post-dated WH. I also remember not being convinced that this date of construction was definitive.
In my opinion, apart from Rio and the islands in Rio Bay, none of the Lakeland sites match unequivocally to places you might find on an OS map and this includes Holly Howe, Swallowdale and Kangchenjunga.
PS Anybody got any good theories about the location of High Greenland and Dick's Crag?
