I have very clear memories of doing just that, in 1997, returning to China after a sailing holiday with wife and then very small boy. Lowestoft train ran into down side; had to get to up side. Some Anglia Railways erk helpfully told me, hands in pockets, that I "should have booked a porter in advance!"
