Fascinating link Robert! Googling around I see that Honister
has been reopened both as a tourist attraction and also as a
working slate quarry. In my book such an arrangement is much
more educational and praiseworthy than the sterile Llechwedd
Slate Caverns
or the King Arthur's Labyrinth near Upper Corris.

So if you want to meet a real Slater Bob, Honister would seem
to be the place to go!
