I notice that the Society organise the annual The Poohsticks Cam Bridge Crawl which involves
visiting five pubs and a tea shop. I understand that this admirable event is restricted to those who
can demonstrate some affiliation with the University of Cambridge.

The World Poohsticks Championships has no such restriction. It is an open event which takes place
each March at Days Lock, between Long Wittenham (three pubs) and Dorchester on Thames
(three pubs). The Barley Mow made famous in Three Men in a Boat is one of the former and
Long Wittenham is also the home of the amazing Pendon Museum which has reproduced in 4mm
to the foot scale part of rural England in the 1930's,
