We looked for a Beckfoot when we last visited Coniston & Windermere, and found several similar houses--each not quite perfect. My favorite landscape is the Torver Beck one. Seen from the lake, it is the right shape, and from the road/bridge. Torver beck could easily be the Amazon, a mighty river heading to the sea. Water shot through under the bridge as we crossed. Very cool--i suddenly felt as if I were at Beckfoot, even 'though there wasn't a house of the right sort anywhere to be seen!
