At the risk of being blasted out of the water, can I very, very, very politely ask Jock what he means by "relevant" here? Relevant to a modern study of Arthur Ransome? In which case why "timely"? I would have thought that Chomsky's main writing period was too late for AR (who died 1967). Sorry, I'm a bit puzzled as to "relevance".
