Interesting - - It seems that there was no real punishment for George Owdon and his friend Ralph Strakey in Big Six. They simply went away never to be heard from again. If the Death and Glories had actually cast off the boats, it was hinted that they would have received far, far worse. And it was never related that Mr. Jemmerling ever received his just reward for all the mayhem he accomplished.

It would be nice to imagine that Mr. Jemmerling did receive some interruption to his life for these deeds.

I imagine that Mr. Ransome did not want to go into the follow up of punishment for these charactors - too anticlimactical; although the baddies in Peter Duck met a rather spectacular end - but they were so bad they deserved what they got!
