You make the claim that...

This "rule" does not really hold up all that well.
PD and GN have no Bridget, that is true.
But -
I never thought PM, BS, CC, were Made-Up (no mention of BRIDGET.)
In PP, she had wooping cough.
In SD, she was at Holly Howe with Mother, and she visited the camp at
SD.
In WD, she stayed in Pin Mill with Mother, and got wooden shoes.
In SW, she was very much a part of the story. This is HER book.
In WH, mother took Bridget to see Father, who had never seen her since she became a person.
And in MISSEE LEE:
