I agree.
While I don't know a lot about swinging leads it certainly requires very good hand-eye-coordination. We can safely assume that Nancy has had quite a bit of practice in that skill before going to sea in a larger boat. Like throwing stones that miss doctor's or postman's heads deliberately by a few inches, shooting with bow and arrow and whatnot.
I can see the Amazons fooling around with lassos before they got their boat or other stuff like that.
