I finally read Riddle. It's now back in print, marketed as a "book for boys." It's a good book, but I can see why Titty thought that it might not interest her. It's a fairly dense read, and there's a lot of angst from the narrator about why and how he got into this adventure. I'm not sure that I would have read it at Titty's age. Perhaps she should look a little further along Captain Flint's shelf- he probably has The Prisoner of Zenda as well.
