In the 1995 Jonathan Cape edition (revised 1983), the sketch comes at the end of Chapter XVII, page 207. In the 1980 Puffin edition it comes at the end of Chapter 17, page 198.
Reglardless of location in the book, I suspect you are right, and it is intended to be Thermopylae.
