Yes, definitely - when John has to try and reef the sail.
It was my chosen passage (from the whole series) when I wrote a bit of screenplay to send to BBC Films to point out why I was the ideal choice to script any subsequent Swallows and Amazons films... They didn't get back to me! But it's a great little episode.
