I would be very sad to see TarBoard close. I think I have learned far more about AR and especially the people who enjoy AR than I could from any other source.
Hardly a day passes without my logging on to TarBoard, although I do not contribute that much.
I agree with Jock that you have done exceptionally well as moderator especially in view of the very varied crew of Tarboarders. I suspect you must do more behind the scenes than we realise; not only as moderator but in the amount of work required to keep an old system working well. Also Lancaster Uni has provided the overall frame work in with TarBoard can exist.
Perhaps we ought to start a TarBoard Preservation Fund to invest in a more modern computer for you.
I very much hope you will be able to reconsider your decision and continue to provide enjoyment for many.
