will rootle around for some more - there's also some original documentation and brochures in the family archive from when we bought ours around April 1971

I'd love to see more pics if you have them. I was trying to work out where they were taken on Windermere. We used to stay at Strawberry Gardens, almost exactly opposite the Steamboat Museum on the West shore, and carried on going there every year even when we lived in Cartmel. We always went in April/May so the weather could be quite brutal, especially if you were trying to keep a Mirror dinghy dry and upright.

sadly recently sold our #25677 (very 70s named Ummagumma) - lack of space and deteriorating floor (again - dagger case etc had been replaced years back). Though we're within an hour of Coniston most of teaching daughters to sail had actially been done on Llyn Tegid (Bala).

Wonderful name. :-) Our own boat has had the floor replaced and reinforced with fibreglass on the outside which makes for a good stiff boat that we can haul up on beaches without worry. However she'll never again win Mirror races. My first Mirror went much the same way but we couldn't save her. Sadly not many photos but we do have one of my sister and I rowing her very gingerly into the Secret Harbour.
