There are three surviving concrete barges at Walton-on-the-Naze.

Yup. That's the badger. Those sloping strakes cast in by the bows are very distinctive. They never had any superstructure that I could see, and the deck was rather neatly covered over with a concrete shell with a couple or three large hatches. It must have made them very strong.

Well done for finding them. I searched for "concrete lighters" rather than for "concrete barges". Not that clever, I guess...

"Concrete barges" pulls up quite a lot.
