No index as far as I know. His 'first library' was sold
by Ivy at a knock-down price, and it would probably be
impossible to reconstruct a list at this point in time.
His 'second library', apart from the contents of the
bookcase at Abbot Hall, was sold as a job lot to the
library of the Fullerton campus of CSU. On the one
occasion I have contacted the people at Fullerton to
discover whether a particular title was among the books
in the second library, I found them extremely helpful,
though they were were somewhat hampered by the closure
of the library during work to reduce the risk from earthquakes.
I also got the impression that no-one had previously asked
about the AR acquisition, and that they hardly realised that
it might be of general interest. I have toyed with the idea
of spending a month or two at Fullerton making a start
on a list when I retire in a couple of years' time, but if
Jock would like to forestall me, good luck to him!

Incidentally, my query was about 'I Sailed with Chinese
Pirates' by Aleko Lilius. Assiduous readers of Mixed Moss will
recognise the significance of the information that although
Fullerton have a copy of this book, it seems not to have come
from AR's library.
