I would say wearing a tie was common practice up unto about 1950ish. I have a friend who says she has never seen her father "85" leave the house without a tie except to work in the yard.

She tells of him putting a tie on at 2 am in a Motel to go and get her mother a drink from the vending machine.

Different times.

The spell checker is great - well done.

nice grog is = Shiner Munich Style Helles Lager. Just having one now.
