Yes, clearly there's a disconnect- the Walkers trying to complete their assigned task while Nancy (and the Eels) "just want to havw fun." At one point, I held a theory that Nancy and Daisy were deliberately sabotaging the mapping project, but on reflection, the real blame lies with the Admiralty, who caused Cmdr. Walker to have to shut down the holiday a few days too soon.
