I have read the book and found the following: In the chapter “Peter Duck Spins His Yarn “ Peter Duck says he was about Rodger’s age when he was marooned on Crab Island, In the chapter “it winds up" Peter duck says that the treasure was buried 40 years ago. Also, In the beginning of “Land Ho” Peter Duck says it has been 40 years since he has seen the Island. That would make him about 48.
However, at the end of the Chapter “Diggers at Work” Capt flint Says it has been Sixty years since the treasure was buried. This would make Peter Duck about 68. I must be missing something. Can someone shed light what it is I am missing?
