And even good old-growth oregon is getting hard to come by these days. Oregon is being plantation-grown in (for instance) New Zealand, but as with Dave's new-growth Sitka the growth-rings are so far apart that it's not nearly as useful as a spar timber as it once was.

I have no idea what wood will be used to replace it.
