I have to confess that I like much of this music too. I like to think that what the Hullabaloos listened to was of a much lower quality - crass sentimentalist melodies rather than jazz. But I couldn't find my favourite, "Oh play to me gypsy" which I have on a 78rpm performed by the Connecticut Collegians as a tango. I also have a wind-up record player, the fore-runner of the iPod in that you could carry it (and about ten records) around with you. But more stylish.
